Hourly to salary FAQ

How do I convert an hourly wage to an annual salary?
Multiply your hourly rate by the hours you work each week, then by 52 weeks. At a standard 40-hour week that's hourly × 2,080. For example, $25/hour is $25 × 2,080 = $52,000 a year before tax.
How much is $20 an hour per year?
At 40 hours a week for 52 weeks, $20 an hour is $41,600 a year before tax — about $3,467 a month or $800 a week. Your take-home will be lower after federal, FICA and any state tax.
How much is $30 an hour per year?
$30 an hour works out to $62,400 a year at full-time 40 hours a week, roughly $5,200 a month before tax. Use the calculator below for your exact take-home.
