The pro-rata formula

Pro-rata salary = full-time salary × (your hours ÷ full-time hours)

A worked example

If a full-time role pays $60,000 for 40 hours a week and you work 24 hours, you work 60% of full-time. Your pro-rata salary is $60,000 × 0.6 = $36,000 a year.
